With the autonomous server and computer equipment owned by the department, the laboratory serves to process all kinds of intense and complex oceanographic data, analysis, visualization, and storage. Preparation and calibration of the equipments are performed at the laboratory.
OceanLAB maintains software for oceanographic data analysis, processing and visualization software for GIS and RS applications (Matlab, Foxpro, ArcGIS, Erdas, Idrisi, MapViewer, Ocean Data View, etc.), numeric ocean models (Killworth Princeton Model, NEMO, ROMS, HYCOM) and other software (MSDEW, Mikado, Nemo, etc.).
